hi, we're in surfer's paradise now. IT's huge and full of highrises, not quite what we expected. Like what we picture Miami would look like. We went surfing today, It was AMAZING!! The water was 20 degrees and a beautiful sunny day! We got a lesson from a lady we met camping in Byron. Kirby and I caught a few awesome waves. Being that it was Leah's first time she's still getting the hang of it but we all had so much fun. WE want to surf every sunny day. We went just outside of surfer's at a place called carrumbin creek. It was gorgeous. we'll stay here two or three more nights then head to brisbane. Leah adn Kirby are on antibiotics, getting better from the colds we all had. LEah got tonsilitis but we've been taking it easy and we're all getting better. Saturday our hostel does a club crawl. 6 bars in one night, so we're trying to get healthy for that. Surfer's is mostly known for their club scene. love and kisses

We are now in Byron Bay again. We actually left yesterday and went to Nimbin which is a very small town inland from Byron. It was a very cool experience. We camped at a place called granny's farm (funny considering it's run by 3 men). It was right by a creek and crawling with lizards which sounded much larger than they actually were because of the dried leaves they were running around on. There was a swimming pool and two golden retrievers and we were surrounded by horses in fields. It was definitely the most layed back place I have ever been. The culture there is completely hippified. The museum was amazing it was a house with like three or four rooms just completely stuffed full of art and newspaper clippings and the things, everything completley painted and covered. All about the native culture, how europeans came in and now how it's a complete hippy town. In the last room of the museum they sell weed. The whole town is apparently completely full of cameras but the town is just one short street with about 10 or 15 shops on it, and the police station right on the end. It was bizare and very cool. Back at the camp we went down to our van after dinner and the whole area was full of fireflies. It was very magical. None of us have ever seen them before. Also there were apparently platypus that lived in the creek right behind us, but they're nocturnal and we weren't fortunate enough to see them. Anyways we came back to Byron because we love it so much and we got back to our campsite and were extremely lucky to get the very last site. Spring break has just started here so the town is packed. Our timing has been good so far, we're having fun. We miss everyone!! xoxox

We are in Byron Bay now, just south of Brisbane. It's an awesome little town, sorta hippyish but taken over buy backpackers from all over. Beautiful beaches, we saw lot's of jellyfish on shore today because the wind has been crazy. We have our camper van now which is great. Its excellent to go at our own pace and stop where ever we want and we're seeing so much country side. Around here there are insane amounts of sugarcane fields. We spent one night in NElson bay, the next night in COff's harbour where a local guy showed us around, that's so the way to actually see a place. It was a town the size of DUncan but we had fun cause he knew what was good to do. That night, night number two, I locked the one key inside the camper van, yeah I know.... we were so grateful and so lucky this guy was coming back to take us out or we probly would've been sleeping under the van. They don't have bcaa here, what do you do? Him and another man that worked at the campsite broke into the van with much difficulty. sometimes it's good to be girls. and have good luck or karma or something. We will head further up the coast in a couple days to surfer's paradise on the gold coast before we head to brisbane. Hopefully get some surfing in there. the winds been either not enough or too much here. WE had a local offer to give the 3 of us private lessons for like 10$ an hour each including gear. SO far he hasn't come through, but we'll see tomorrow. we hiked up to a lighthouse today, amazing view. we saw dolphins and usually this time of year there are lots of grey whales migrating. we're gonna go back and check again tomorrow for them. Love to all xoxoxo
